What is it that makes it an RPG one of the most anticipated games of 2011? Certain games have been anticipated with bated breath for years. In other cases, it’s been a long since we received about the upcoming release. In between these different time periods, there is a need created to play the word “game,” gameplay, and much more. It’s almost impossible to wait. The promise and eventual satisfaction of your gaming needs are the reason why a role-playing game is among the top-awaited games of the coming year.
Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the sequel to the game from 2006 that year’s title, Oblivion. Bethesda is releasing Skyrim featuring a new engine and says it will play as if it’s running on a brand new system. It may sound like grandiose promises if you’re not used to Bethesda. If you’ve played the previous Bethesda games isn’t a surprise when a new round of the year is announced.
Diablo III
The launch of Diablo III has been eagerly anticipated since the release of Diablo II in the summer of 2000. Ten years in the making, Diablo III seems like it’s been in development for a long time. Although it may seem like a long time ago, however, it shouldn’t come as too any surprise to anyone already familiar with Blizzard Entertainment. The pursuit of perfection isn’t enough to be a requirement for Blizzard. While fans might complain about the length between the games, they are raving about the game’s quality. The game is finally getting an estimated release date for the much-anticipated Diablo III, and it’s at the end of the year.
Mass Effect 3
The initial two Mass Effect games were phenomenal. They introduced significant improvements in graphics in facial animations, paired with a thrilling game experience and a fantastic story. Mass Effect 3 promises to take place where the previous game ended. The game will once again play as Commander Shepherd as you fight the last fight to save the world. Bioware’s exciting story is set to come to an end in Mass Effect 3. If it’s anything like the previous games, it will be awe-inspiring.
Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age: Origins brought the old game of Baldur’s Gate and mixed the two with bloody visceral style. But, it appeared to be lacking a little of the charm of Baldur’s Gate. Dragon Age 2 aims to improve on the flaws of the first game and enhance the already fantastic gameplay. Fans of Dragon Age: Origins are looking forward to this game’s release, which is expected to be in March.
Star Wars: The Old Republic
It seems like anything Bioware has its mark on turns out to be an excellent game. Their first venture into an MMORPG is the much-anticipated game Star Wars: The Old Republic. The RPG is highly anticipated due to several reasons. The first is to consider the Star Wars franchise. Anything that has the Star Wars title is going to be closely watched. In addition, Bioware is known for creating great games. Combining the two could be awe-inspiring.
